I was working my regular 9-5 job running google AdWords for small businesses, staring at my computer all day, and navigating through spreadsheets. I started to dream of the future, thinking about the things that used to light me up and make me laugh and feel good! There must be more. I lost my passion, fire, and sense of purpose. Consumed with a regular job, keeping my house clean, raising my kids, running errands, meaningless relationships, and just the understanding, is this it.

I started by buying my first self-help books and starting my journey with yoga. It led me to healthy eating and finding a morning routine that energized me to start my day. This led me to group fitness classes and put in the work for the outside appearance, feeling better about moving my body and feeling more alive. As I read more books, I found myself being more and more drawn to what I was reading and confused by a lot of it. Especially the manifestation and changing your mindset. It all seemed foreign to me and very confusing. I knew I was intrigued but had no idea what peeling back the layers and healing from the inside looked like.

It was 2012, and the name Pretty Power came to my mind, and I had no idea why, and I had no idea what I was going to do with the name. I had never owned my own business and felt broken, so even though I loved all the self-help and the thought of coaching, I wouldn’t allow myself to believe that was for me. But I knew in my heart 10 years ago that when this name came to me, it would mean something and be a big part of who I am.
